Is Nashville worth a trip if you aren’t into bar or music?

Check out Sylvan Park, 12 South, East Nashville (Fatherland Street Area), Warner Parks, etc. Depending on time of year the Full Moon Picking Parties in Percy Warner Park (Bluegrass under the moon) are amazing. Ann Patchett's bookstore is fantastic. NHL, MLS, and NFL games are big crowdpleasers, we have a great set of museums (music and non-music related).

If you come to Nashville and stay downtown and only venture out of downtown you will not like it.

Always find it odd when people make comments like this. Having spent a ton of time in Nashville, nothing you mentioned is dramatically different than what you can find in DMV.
