Why do people wear hats in their cars and in buildings?

How about my car? Or heading to a baseball game?

Not the OP. Those are both fine.
In a hotel restaurant is not fine.

My bald DH (who is not embarrassed he's bald_) wears a baseball hat inside if he is cold.

OP here. Yes. On middle aged women in particular, who have no need for sun protection (car, building) I assume their hair is dirty and unwashed.

Well thanks for clarifying idiot

My friend wears a hat because their brain cancer surgery left their head looking like a mess. I wear a sun hat whenever I'm outdoors to protect my skin and eyes. My sister wears hats because she just loves hats.

I may have put one on to sit in the sun and watch my kids’ sports. I would have washed my hair before that. Always! But after wearing a hat for even an hour or two, my fine hair is positively plastered to my head. So errands and maybe even dinner might happen in a hat. I’d be dressed very casually otherwise as well so we’d only be going to casual places.

Brimmed hat in the car on a sunny day? why not.

Wearing a hat in a building is rude, but why do you care what people do in their cars if it doesn't affect road safety?

It’s rude and low class to wear a ball cap in your own car??? Is it as bad as saying you could make some food that is on the menu at a restaurant?

Op you’re a loser for making a post like this. God forbid what you think of Muslim or Jewish women who cover their hair. Please do better next time and find something else to do with your time and mind.
