My bad. I read that as JMU.

I did too…only because JHU and beautiful are rarely in the same sentence together.

I live in the DMV and we have toured all the local schools…but for some reason just never made it to JHU.

Good to hear it’s a nice campus considering it always gets trashed for its Baltimore location (which I assume is suburban or exurbanites that are generally afraid of cities).

It doesn’t hurt! His money did make it need blind

It was need blind in 1992.

His money made it loan free.

It was really one of the prettiest campuses we’ve seen, which surprised me.

What’s the downside? Is it still a grinder school? Kid would be majoring in something like international relations, def not pre med.

Go during the year. Stray from the tour. Go into buildings and see every classroom filled, and kids packed like sardines studying all the time. On. A. Weekend. Campus will suddenly feel small. More importantly, it will feel soulless.

The JHU troll has returned.

I don't think you are thinking of the correct school. It's neither hard partying nor public.

Little known fact about Hopkins is how good the athletics are. Well, people may know that the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams are T20. But even the D3 teams like football, baseball, track and field, swimming, etc. are top notch.

I haven’t seen Hopkins but just reading this made me think Hopkins would have been better served had it had some more visible D1 sports. Adds a feeling of fun!

Lacrosse is plenty fun to watch.

I mean…LAX is legit, but nobody cares how good a D3 team is (which can only be good for D3 but not good). This coming from someone with a kid that plays D3 baseball for a school that often makes the super regionals or finals of the D3 college World Series.

JHU males who are not frat members also have to suffer the indignity of not being allowed into frat parties. Might as well go to the SEC, where at least the frat kids are not nerds.

Of course family members care…other students at the school and the world in general…not much.

I went to Hopkins and disagree. Definitely went to football, soccer, baseball and basketball games to support our friends. But it is the lacrosse games that attract the the crowds.
