Why do men on OLD ask for my phone number but only text and don't call?

I hate texting/calling and getting nowhere. I'm too damn busy and old.

Huh? They hate meeting irl? I thought that was the whole point of dating.

Lots of matches end up going nowhere because the women have no desire to meet up irl. I don't know why they match and continue texting if they don't want to meet. Maybe it's an ego boost or they like the entertainment of texting.

Looking at /r/datingoverthirty this seems to be becoming more common with men as well. This is why it's important to minimize texting and only use the app/texting mainly to setup irl meet as quickly as possible. Save time and headache for everyone.

How old are you, 20?

Not PP, but if you think it’s normal to just randomly call someone up, it’s not anymore. People text now.

I'm 38 and I love calling people without scheduling it. Those who pick up are my real friends.

I’m over 50 woman and definitely would be turned off by unscheduled phone call. It’s rude. Text is so easy and can progress to FaceTime then meet irl …but that phone call out if the blue would put me off.
