Does freezing eggs actually work?

If they are gay?

Moms don’t like that. No mom would go for “sure become a father for your Friend!”

For the single people

finding a partner is not that hard. Sometimes you have to settle.

Just settle it’s easier than the ivf, hormone pumping, and all that heartache - then you have to rent the sperm

Settling is not hard. Prenups at WAY easier than IVF.

Not OP but the hormones women inject to be able to extract several eggs at the time are extremely intense. And if they extra multiple eggs but the egg implantation is ineffective, as often happens, then the woman would be worse off

Still not understanding how one would be worse off. Worst case it doesnt work and you start over/move on?

No, worst case youve injected yourself with extremely intense hormones that essentially put your body through 20 period cycles over the course of one month. And you're also out 20 eggs that you can no longer conceive naturally with.

20 eggs. That’s not many considering the number you start with. At age 30 you have about 120,000 eggs left. At age 35 you have 50,000+ eggs left. 20 isn’t going to make our break you.

I did (failed) IVF when I was 33. 32 eggs were harvested (I was soooooo bloated!). I’m now in my mid 50s and still menstruating. 20 eggs hasn’t shortened my fertile lifespan (and I went on to have 2 children with any medical intervention)

Common misconception- period does not equal fertility.

Not to mention donor “ dads”— those egoists who sell their seeds. Who ARE those people and what kind of heritage will you be saddled with?

I’ll meet the In Laws, that you very much. Prenups protect women’s property.

Ugh, no. Sometimes free sperm is staggeringly expensive. I have a friend who went this route because she didn’t want to pay for sperm. Huge mistake.

Did she have a pre marriage agreement ?
You don’t even have to be married to sign property agreements. Draft it and then get it reviewed by attorney.
