s/o if you wear a bra and bike shorts out in public, do people approach you?

Anonymous
I don’t wear this attire anywhere in public and I work out at home, but I don’t care what other people do. I am wondering if the people who are so angry about this are highly unattractive and jealous. I can’t see any other reason to be so offended.

You would actually stay much cooler wearing light colored, breathable fabric that covers most of your skin. You know, like the type of clothing worn by people who live in actual deserts. But that would be if comfort was *actually* your main priority, which it clearly is not.

Unclench lady. I'm a 50 year old in shorts and a tank top. Just noting that it's basically the uniform here.

Stick with a story, lady. First you said crop top/bra and bike shorts, now you’re saying tank top and shorts. Are you wearing “exercise” clothing that is essentially underwear, or just normal summer clothing?

Why are you so angry about bike shorts? Too big to fit in them?

I’m actually not angry about bike shorts. I’m sad that we live in a society which is increasingly narcissistic and entitled. Everyone’s attitude seems to be “if it feels good do it!” with zero care or concern for anyone or anything else. Personally I don’t feel like this is progress.

And the “too big to fit in them?” comment is indicative of a lack of basic intelligence and maturity. We’re moving closer and closer to making Idiocracy a reality.

DP. This is hilarious. What exactly is “narcissistic and entitled” about wearing workout clothes in public?

Couldn't agree more. I don't wear these but I don't care if anyone else does. Wear whatever you are comfortable in. I could absolutely wear that if I wanted to but it's not my style. For other people it is their style. More power to them. But I don't judge people by what they wear. It barely registers with me unless it's something truly outlandish-sports bra and bike shorts is far from that.

Is this post from 2001? It is common place to see people in work out attire out in public. I don't even notice it. I did notice it when it first started happening about 20 years ago though.

There is no objective definition of outlandish. For something to be outlandish, it must be judged as such.

How can you state that it’s common place if you also don’t notice it?

So many people in this thread trying to pretend.

Already explained in this post to which you are referring. That you can’t comprehend is, I repeat, an indication of your lack of intelligence.

I would never go out of my house dressed like a street walker but then I have morals.

Like those young ICONS LOL, that complain they are looked at like sex symbols. WHAT A JOKE.
Then said ICON goes out in public wearing dental floss and dares anyone to look her way. Funny thing, 99% of the tarts you see are really men.

With disclaimer that I am now a senior citizen and could never speak for everyone, but just for me, if I could go back and do my younger fashion years again, I would absolutely wear bike shorts and sports bras and midriffs and cute skirts and generally have more fun with fashion- so when I see anyone out wearing anything I may not have, good for them! Enjoy and have fun!

The only time it made a difference was when I was about 4 months pregnant and people would randomly congratulate me or otherwise comment on my pregnancy when I was wearing skintight workout clothes but not otherwise which made sense because it was obvious in leggings but not when I was wearing real clothes.

Bare back skin touching metro seats? Jesus! Nasty!

And pregnant? That would be a hard no

If you wear a sports bra and leggings or bike shorts as clothes - do people treat you differently than when you're wearing more modest outfits? Do men treat you differently? Do other women? Is there a community of hot women in workout clothes who have a special nod for each other? Or is it just normal clothes at this point and no one does anything differently than when you're wearing other outfits?

What's it like going out in an outfit like that?

Try it and you’ll get a first hand experience. 😂

More likely to ogle, less likely to approach when they can actually see the goods. If they do end up saying something to me though, they often speak into my breasts like they are a mic. Having said that, I through a t-shirt, scarf or jacket over it depending on the weather if I am stuck wearing it in public.

Anyone wearing the ass ruching really has a problem with their head to wear that-especially in public though. It really is attention seeking in the worst way- looks like your bum is munching your pants. I guess that is exciting if you have no figure/no curves back there but it's so terrible to see. TG there is no comparable outfit for breasts.

This is my regular outfit. No one seems to notice or care, and certainly no one has mentioned it to me. It’s comfortable for me 🤷🏻‍♀️
