And, as stated in response to the constant "WPES" posting in every such thread, such acceleration isn't confined to wealthy areas like Potomac, but it is supported in only a minority of schools, with MCPS central admin doing nothing to ensure local fidelity/rigor, the result of which is inequitable differential access to such across the county's similarly-able student population. |
Disaggregate racial groups and the differences will magically disappear. |

This poster has an ongoing thing about widespread math acceleration (beyond the standard compacted path) that occurs only at “wealthy Potomac elementary schools,” despite never identifying a specific school or offering any evidence of this happening. They pop up on every post about elementary-school math. |

It's satire, but, by hyperbolizong the issue and getting folks to zone out as a result, it's meant to detract from any proper notion of inconsistency across the system and the need for MCPS to address that. |

I think the challenge is the schedule. The math period must be fit into the daily schedule and not to interfere with other courses.
