| From what I can tell from those who made the team I am pretty sure CM has a heavy hand in the process. Clearly there is incentive to make ML player happy and get recruiting exposure over a kid from another club. And if the team loses in the tournament not a big deal. College coach aren’t really looking at the score board. |
| When will rosters be posted? |
| CM ran the two tryouts for the 28s. The two coaches had very little to say in terms of running the drills. More than half of the kids there were ML. 4 DCE, 4 NL, 1 hawks, 1 FCA, and 1 VLC. Amazingly low turnout. In past years, you would see 50-60 kids coming out. There were barely 30 there on Wednesday night. |

In their defense this is the first time NIKE has opened it up to younger players. In the past it was exclusively high schoolers. The interesting question is what is the point of showcasing kids who have never played a High School game let alone made a varsity team |
ye$, why $hoca$e tho$e kid$, I can't $ee any po$$ible rea$on?? |
| Opening up to lower grades is a complete money grab. Any coach watching those games will be laughed at, it is a complete waste of their time. All eyes will be on the 2026 class. |
| more money to pay coaches to show up…. |
If basically only a handful of non ML players showed up, then the team will be a lot of ML players. Question is whether the non ML from the elite teams (not B teams) make it. |
| If they are good. Some are not. |
| are the rosters posted anywhere? |
They will take players that they want on the Madlax team. I would not say “not B teams” since they took 2 from the DC Express Orange for their Capital team. |
| ^^ which year(s)? |
I would guess 2028. Think of it as payback for losing kids from last year. |
| What is interesting is that the contact phone number for NLF is the same as the Crabs. So I’m guessing that is who is running it… |
| Heard they were taking players outside of tryouts. True? |
