A DoD contractor with client meetings once in a while. Sleeves are required, no shorts or belly-baring outfits. Shorter than knee length skirts got written up.

I would find a new job

This….does not seem real.

I can see it if they have a sleeves rule for men and wanted it to be even handed. Like if they said “no polos” to men? I can’t tell from OP’s post if she can wear short sleeves.

Honestly I think sleeveless dresses are a little much for a formal meeting but most workplaces are so cold it’s a non issue and women have a jacket or a sweater anyway.

OP here: short sleeves are ok, sleeveless is a no-no.

Everything is sleeveless, ovey stuffy or has funny balloon sleeves. I also wear skirts and tops but most tops come with the floofy sleeves that end above your elbow. What am I missing?

NP here.
I so a lot of presenting and raise my arms up a lot, so I do NOT want sleeveless tops in the summer.
Thank you for your post!

I find the occasional luck with Ann Taylor, Tahari, Banana Republic, sometimes just search ‘short sleeve top’ and get some new ideas.
