1) no one passed bogus laws 2) the GOP filed in Colorado to bar Trump from the ballot, and lost in the Supreme Court. Other than that, your post is fully accurate. |

The best part: "Since Ohio changed its certification deadline from 60 to 90 days ahead of the general election, state lawmakers have had to adjust the requirement twice, in 2012 and 2020, to accommodate candidates of both parties. Each change was only temporary." |
I mean… they kind of have to. |
That’s a crude way of saying that Ohio has become reliably red. Bye bye Sen Brown. |
| I think the presidential election being uncontested in Ohio would help down ballot democrats. |
No they really don't. You think for a second if New York or California had the same rules in place they would bend them for Trump? |

Somebody needs to do a similar investigation of Ohio. |
Ahh the GOP’s inverted belief system, always accusing others of what they themselves are doing. |
You are wrong. NY and CA wouldn’t have a stupid law that ignores the history of national party conventions in August. Ohio Republicans are being idiots. |
|
Biden is now being officially nominated via a virtual roll call ahead of Ohio’s artificially imposed deadline.
Of course Democrats are smart not to rely on Ohio Republicans playing fairly. My theory is that Ohio Republicans wanted a pretextual reason to curtail early voting in Ohio, which is quite popular. But they didn’t want the political blowback. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/28/us/democrats-biden-ohio-ballot.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare |
I agree the DNC failed here. How hard was it to read a calendar? UGH That said anyone who votes for Trump is voting for Hitler and is UnAmerican to the core. |
Ohio ignored them 4 years ago when the RNC went second, as is the norm. So why aren't they ignoring it now? To own the libs. |
The DNC didn't fail. It is the norm for the incumbent party to go second. Ohio changed it up. Not the DNC fault. |
