It fits so much and still can be stowed under the seat. I would pack the medium and small for city walking. The medium could serve as a last minute 2nd carry one if I have to check my carryon suitcase. They are so easy to care for.

As for the lack of pockets or structure, I don’t mind it so much as I usually pack my stuff in smaller pouches or vanity cases. I fill the extra spaces w scarf or a light knit jacket.

I use the large tote or the large travel bag (more duffel sized with short handles) as my personal item on the plane. I fold the medium tote and lay it inside my suitcase to have as a day bag to run around with at my destination - perfectly holds my wallet, a sweater, bottle of water, book, trinkets I collect, etc. There’s been a few times I’ve bought more souvenirs and needed to check my suitcase, and I can use the medium tote and the large travel bag comfortably on the plane.

They do sell bases - acrylic rectangles that’s lay in the bottom of the bag to give it shape, and inserts for if you want more pockets/organization. I got mine from Etsy and Amazon. I keep the large tote around the house to collect all the returns and items I need for errands, so it’s constantly in use.

You can’t beat the price and they are back in style with the 40 and under crowd. Remember the DMV is NOT the most fashion forward.

I’ve had a medium in my everyday handbag rotation for about 15 years, and recently bought a large in black to use as a work bag - added a laptop sleeve and organizer from Amazon. I really appreciate the simplicity - they are classic bags.
