longchamp le pliage - questions

I don't like mine: the bottom corners got used and damaged (yes, I bought it in store so not a fake!) and the lack of pockets sucks. I bought a similar one on Amazon for way cheaper with many internal pockets. It's better quality.

I use it as my daily bag - when I am out with my kids, I throw a small packing cube in there with diapers/wipes/backup outfit.

I use the large Pliage as my daily bag. I like the length of the shoulder drop and the fact that its big enough to fit a laptop in a sleeve. The handles on the Pliage are sturdier than many other totes.

The Pliage is so affordable I actually have a few and rotate depending on the season of the year.

My daily bag is the Pliage city tote in navy.

Its a waxed canvas which is very sturdy. The interior is beige which makes it easy to find things and its has TWO interior pockets, one is really big so keys and things i need to grab go in there.

I have the standard Pliage in sage green that I can use in fall or spring and a surf blue for summer (called Cobalt on Nordstrom's website).

The Pliage is not the most fashion forward bag but its very versatile. I have a Mulberry and a Chloe bag but I find I don't want them to get beat up by being my everyday bag.

I don't know anyone who still using them they were super hot years ago it's too bad they hold a lot.

Just a tip for my fellow bag lovers: using a Cloversac organizer has saved my sanity. No more bottomless-pit purse! My everything has its place, my bag stays structured, and because the organizer itself is so light, I don't even notice it's there. Definitely look into them!

If the corners are damaged, the store will repair for free.

I use a M for a travel carry-on bag. Holds my laptop but not huge.

I use it for a gym bag also now. It’s essentially worthless. I had the large. It’s smaller in person than you’d expect.

Use an organizer or it will sag over time.

Same. I see old, worn totes used for the gym by 30s and 40s somethings. Still see the larger travel bags used pretty regularly when flying. I’ve got the zip one that can expand and it’s really versatile. Corners have always been a problem with this brand.

I have the large and use it as my purse while traveling--navy or black is fine (I have both). I have an insert I put inside that makes it more functional. The uniqlo round mini bag is a good for sightseeing during the day - small but fits a decent amount. It's described as a shoulder bag but I wear it as a cross-body (as does everyone else I see wearing it).

I like the large bc I find the strap length comfortable and I often have a lot of stuff to carry.

The newer large pliages have 2 interior pockets that make it very easy to access necessary items (keys, phone, small wallet).

I have the large, medium and small ones, all in a plum/wine red. For 10+ years. I love all of them. Use the large for travel and plane rides. It fits so much and still can be stowed under the seat. I would pack the medium and small for city walking. The medium could serve as a last minute 2nd carry one if I have to check my carryon suitcase. They are so easy to care for.

As for the lack of pockets or structure, I don’t mind it so much as I usually pack my stuff in smaller pouches or vanity cases. I fill the extra spaces w scarf or a light knit jacket.

I truly can’t believe these are back “in style”. I used mine in 2004 to go to classes in college. Definitely was a good work bag in 2005 when you needed to carry gym clothes and lunch.

I’ll never stop carrying my Longchamp. I’ve cycled through so many bags and always come back to it. It’s lightweight and goes with everything. It holds whatever extra stuff I need to throw in for my kids. The corners getting worn does annoy me though.

I hate mine and stopped wearing it. Bottom corners got damaged very quickly. I think they’ve gone down in quality cuz I don’t remember the one I owned 5 years ago but then forgot in that hotel while traveling being this bad.

I’ve had mine for almost a year and use it for travel and sometimes as a purse. It’s held up perfectly. I have the medium.
