I always stop watching a show or movie if I find it boring, too gory, offensive, stupid or just not holding my attention as in I don't care what's going to happen.
However, I have a few times been talked into giving a show another chance and have been really glad I did. Two that come to mind are Breaking Bad and Ted Lasso. |
| Absolutely not. Once a show gets bad, I stop watching it. We watched the Avatar cartoon with the kids and it was good. We watched one episode of the live action Avatar TV show on Netflix and it was TERRIBLE and quit after one. |
+1000 lifes too short op just stop any tv show, movie or book you don't like. You have our "permission" lol. |
| I mean, that's the only reason Grey's Anatomy is still on the air. The fans who can't stop until the end but then it gets renewed because they are still watching when really they want ABC to put them out of their misery. |

I used to compulsively finish, but have totally freed myself. My husband and I never watched the last three episodes of Ted Lasso season 3. Felt like such a chore by then that I wasn't even tempted.
I might honestly quit more shows than I finish at this point. |

About half a decade or so ago my impending mortality became very apparent to me and I became the kind of person who tunes out after an episode or two - or a few chapters - if a series or book doesn’t inspire. Life is short and there is endless content to enjoy.

OP here. I agree with you. I wanted to stop watching Peaky Blinders after season 1. It was too violent. I am that I kept watching because I love that show. |
No. I would not do this to myself. I’ve stopped shows I didn’t like. I couldn’t even finish watching The Beef! Just horrible near the end. I read about the ending but couldn’t stand actually watching it. |

| There was another horrible series with Michelle Monaghan called "Echoes" which I had to force myself to finish. It was one of the worst shows I've ever seen, but I had to see just how bad it was going to get. |
| I'm only slightly into the second season of The Gilded Age, and I'm bored to death. Will probably stop watching. There are too many storylines. |
+1 I will probably continue watching, but wow is it bad. |
| “Friends from College” was a tough watch, with zero respectable characters, but I made it through. |
| I usually just search up the rest of the episodes/movie on wikki or fast forward the boring parts. I like to know what happens at the end of shows too |
