+1 I'm a double Ivy grad, married to a double Ivy grad. I can't justify legacy preferences, even though my kids will have an advantage. Legacy kids are 5x more likely to be admitted than someone with similar stats who is non-legacy according to the 2024 paper by Harvard professor Chetty. |
Extremely slim. One way to see this is to check how many people form your kid's school actually get into Princeton. You'll likely see that if you aren't from a feeder, your school isn't sending anyone in. |
Even if the student is a legacy at a non-feeder high school? I thought that Princeton was trying to expand out and include more public schools in the mix. |
