“How was your spring break?” How do you respond?

Imo people who did not have a good vacation, rarely ever have a good trip to anywhere.

This is not true. Bad weather can really derail some vacations. So can illness. Or particularly cranky kids or teens 😂

if you’re usually an upbeat person I think you could tell the story of one bad trip with humor.

True. FIL passed away two days before Christmas. If anyone asked how Christmas was I said "Awful. We had a death in the family ."


I think everyone who has lived long enough has had these kinds of experiences. My father passed on Thanksgiving. My sister passed right before Christmas. My mother passed right before my son graduated from high school. I have had other holidays that were fabulous so this is just how life is. I'm the person who tends not to ask this question though.
