First of all, you deserve to date someone you’re head over heals over. Why waste any more time with someone you’re “luke-warm” about? Your name is your identity- you decide if you’re okay with a nickname. Full stop. It’s proof that he isn’t that into you either - no EQ, no IQ, doesn’t care. It will go downhill from here. Good. I'm sure he was surprised. I'm sure his inability/unwillingness to consider someone else's perspective has shown up in other areas as well.

I wouldn't expect you to feel good breaking up with him. I suspect, though, that you will realize it's because of the loss of the idea of him rather than him. You dodged a bullet.

You should be proud of yourself!! Of course you don't feel good - it's hard and sad to break up - but it was the right thing to do. Stay the course!!! Thanks for the update!!!

You can break up with a boyfriend for any reason, so just know that going forward.

This was a major red flag,, and good for you for ending it.

Breakups are seldom fun, and don't usually feel good, but that doesn't mean it's not the right thing to do.

Hope the next guy is worthy of your time.
