ACPS Cancels All Foreign Exchange Programs

It is possible that something happened that has been settled out of court with an NDA -- someone may have been sexually assaulted on an exchange program, there may have been an accident where someone was injured, someone committed a crime, etc. You are being told that the exchanges are being cancelled because of equity concerns but it's likely they can't get insurance or were removed from an agreement because of safety concerns, etc.

This was my thought as well.

We have taken our daughter to more than 75 countries all on our own, so she’ll be fine. But sorry Billy’s Dad works to hard to show his kid the world!

So no one in ACPS gets to go on the Foreign exchange program because not everyone can. Of course, not everyone can make the varsity soccer or basketball team. Are we going to cancel those too?

it's a public school. No part of the curriculum should be restricted based on ability to pay

?? It's not part of the curriculum, any more than the extra-curricular sports are

Correct. That is the ACPS definition of equity.

That's was the reason cited for no homework at my kids' elementary (George Mason). The oldest was there during the hybrid disaster. Kids who were in the classrooms were not allowed to touch the books in the classroom because the teacher said it wouldn't be equitable to kids who were home.

So yes, this is where equity leads.

Maybe your daughter wasn’t very good.

Nah, must be because of woke.
