Thank you for your honest reply. |
| Half the class of 22 in PK is for sibs, teachers, Quakers, etc. the other half is for completely new to the school. That means there are 6 girl slots and 6ish boy slots for completely. We to the school people. It’s very hard to get in to PK. |
Isn't it 20 spots total? Or did they increase to 22? |
Send them an email letting them know it is your first choice. If you don't hear anything in a week or two I would call and ask them specially but politely where your child is on the waitlist. They should be able to hint to you your chances. |
It's just 20. So that means...only 5 boys and 5 girls in the class would be new kids. The class increased from 1 class to 3 in K and they accept 28 new kids for K. So I think word on the street is that it is easier in K to get accepted. We applied for PK and got in, but if we hadn't...I planned to try again for K. |

| Correct 20 pk spots - 10 spots for sibs/legacies/staff kids, 10 for new kids. This year there were 21+ PK sibs alone competing for the 10 affiliated family PK spots. |
Are there 3 classes for K ? How many students are on each class. I thought there were only 2 classes for K. Did that change this year? |
|
K has been three classes of 16 since the pandemic. The smaller class size worked well so they kept the 3 smaller classes post pandemic. It remains 3 classes of 16 for K, 1st and 2nd.
