waitlisted at Sidwell for Pre-K

Anonymous
any advice on how to work the waitlist for pre-K at Sidwell? or just wait for the chips to fall?

I think all you can do is wait and let them know if offer to spot you would accept assuming that’s the case.

Keep in mind, Sidwell does indeed send regrets, so the waitlist is purely a waitlist, not a combination of a waitlist and polite regrets. For that reason, there is a real chance for you

Thank you. Does anyone know how many children are waitlisted?

You could send them an email stating that Sidwell is your first choice, and if offered a spot, you will enroll. That could potentially move you up a couple spots. Good luck!

Sidwell has a wait pool. It's not a ranked list.

You have 14 more years to apply and get into Sidwell. Tell them you'll take a spot, move on, try again for K.

There were 20 slots and 20 sibling applicants this year. K doubles in size - I would try again!
