March rollercoaster

Nice to have a way to check but I also kind of miss the old days when decisions would arrive by mail without all the build up of emails or Instagram announcements telling you to mark your calendar or weird forums trying to predict the decision reveal date. Is it weird to miss the old fashioned way of doing this? Then again I hate all of the weird gender reveal parties and social media posts...maybe some school will go retro and deliver early announcements via telegram LOL

It’s not at all weird. I think fondly of the 1970s when we would get each college semester’s grades mailed to us a couple wks after final exams. The sweet agony of waiting for the mail truck!

1970s!!! So you’re like 75? Why are you on a college board?

Any updates on the Berkeley/UCLA on when they will announce exactly?

Waiting on one but I am personally hoping for a rejection (Syracuse). My DD originally loved it, but got into two schools (that she loves) with great merit and now I’m thinking why pay Syracuse prices when there are two other really good options??

So no, you're not riding the roller coaster any more. Thanks for sharing?

Yeah, that was really tone deaf

DC would cycle through having a favorite. This college for a few day, a different college later in the week. Four in play. DH and I were tempted to "press" for The Decision when she came to our favorite.

We resisted though. Her choice.

UC Santa Cruz has already let some students know.

Just curious are your kids talking with their friends about school decisions? My kid's school strongly discourages it. I can see the positives and negatives of that especially with social media involved. But I am asking more about close friends and being able to lean on each other for support (and celebrating).
