We haven't found airfare under $350 roundtrip in March/April/May to Miami/FLL/WPB. Which airline pls?

$158 RT NS IAD-MIA - this is basic econ United
$217 for econ.

$170 RT NS IAD -FLL - basic econ United
$240 for econ

American is $250 RT DCA -FLL NS and JetBlue is $170 RT NS DCA FLL
Delta $178 NS RT DCA -MIA basic econ or $248 econ
AA NS RT DCA-Naples $182 basic econ or $277 econ

I mean the flights to FL are crazy good right now with 2 weeks' advance in March!!

I just pulled this up like 3 min ago! I'm not sure where you are seeing $350RT??! March 18 departure. You're welcome!

New poster here. 3/18 is not spring break if you change the dates to 3/22 or later the fares are all +$350 and above. Some 6 am flights might be a little cheaper

Agreed with poster about 3/22 and beyond. Prices are higher and many flights also only have middle seats left unless you pay to upgrade during seat selection.

This. The majority of schools don’t have break until 3/23 this year.

Check Spirit (I know, I know) for S Fla fares. They have good deals if you can go carry on only. We got $250 pp direct 3.30 - 4.4 to Miami.

Also go to google.com/flights, put in your dates and travellers, and leave the destination open. It will show you a world map with prices everywhere. You never know what you might find!

By the time you click to the end, the price will change if you want to add a seat, add a checkin bag, all sorts of fees.

Why did you have to postpone your plans?

I'm seeing $900 each for spring break to MCO. The traditional spring break and busy week is the week before easter, not after.

If you are willing to drive, you can definitely play it by ear and see what the weather may be in different locations.

We got a lucky week in OBX one March and weather was consistently high 70s and low 80s. Fine for the heated pool and hot tub, and actually great for being on the water for Jet Skis, fishing, kayaking, etc.

If it is only in the 60s in OBX, then you keep looking further south. I doubt Amelia Island/JAX beach area will be anything less than high 70s. We got lucky for a week in February several years ago and it was 80s the entire week.

You do want to make sure there is a heated pool wherever you go.

I don't know how warm you need the ocean to be to enjoy it, but I don't think even Miaimi ocean temps will be "enjoyable" in March. I don't know how realistic it may be to think you are doing any substantial ocean swimming unless you have a wet suit or that is really your thing.

Have you thought about Kiawah/Charleston? It won't be swimmable but it's a great trip. Stay in Kiawah for the resorty feel, but spend a day or two in Charleston proper exploring. Best of both worlds.

Flying or driving?

Where do you stay on Anna Maria Island?

Airbnb or vrbo would likely be best bet

People have very different definitions of cold. As someone who is fine swimming in New England in June, I'm more than happy to swim virtually anywhere in Florida in February, let alone March. I'm not suffering through it to get my money's worth, I'm genuinely enjoying it. Ymmv.

I am also wondering this. Perhaps a lack of Passports? If not, it looks tickets to Nassau are cheap then.
