what do we think about this house in Fairfax?

I'm generally not one to recommend the most expensive carpeting -- but that grey carpet is truly bad.

The Escher comparison is hilarious. The house is fine to me. A little boring but probably nice enough. My thing would be road noise - it's so close to 66.

Nevermind the highway.

It's not close enough to Dynamite. It needs Dynamite.

The house is not my style, but it's fine if you don't mind living in the early 2000s. The area is not bad, aside from being a little bit close to the highway - it's walkable to a lot of good shopping, the Metro, etc.

Having lived in an HOA before, I'm glad to be done with them.

Somebody post me some pics of houses where one is living in the early 2020s. I have a very hard time differentiating between eras, unless it's been a really long time (I could easily pick out 70s or 80s, but can't see the difference between 2000 and 2020 (which is now worrying me because my house was built in 96 and is basically a stand-alone townhome like the one at issue here)).

It's priced to sell for sure. It needs about $150k to be a little more on the modern side. That is not a bad area. Falls Church HS is not bad at all.

Is the kitchen up to code with no hood over the stovetop?
