Breast implant illness? She was diagnosed with a kind of dementia that is visible on brain scans.

The combination of that plus the staggering abuse from her husband fried her brain. I think she'd experience a significant alleviation of her health issues if she removed those old implants.

Ok so I am ignorant about implants but do they really need to be replaced like that? And cause major health issues? Wow.

It's recommended to replace them every 10 years or so. Implants degrade over time, which can cause the silicone interior to leak out of the implant and into your body. It can cause serious health issues.

Yes, and should be removed by a plastic surgeon who does en bloc explantation, meaning they take your tissue around the implant (fibrous capsule) out with the implant inside, all in one piece.

Same.

The documentary is hard to watch but I recommend it. It seems like her health and well-being severely declined after she was removed from the care of her family and placed under guardianship.

If she has dementia, and obviously had it while filming, she isn’t able to concentrate to filming this. How dare Lifetime or whoever is putting this out, do this. People should boycott this film. It is shameful that people are making money and violating the privacy of a nonconsenting adult.

Her conservator consented to her participation in the documentary, which by all accounts she was very much in favor of. (Also, she is an EP on it and making $$ from it personally.) After she was diagnosed with FTD, the conservator went to court to try to block the documentary from airing and lost.

Wendy Williams used to come in to a restaurant where I worked. She was only in radio at that point but was a bigger than life personality. She was kind and funny and a great tipper.

She’s only 59. Early-onset dementia scares the $&@{ out of me.

I wish her family could convince her to explant. Silicone causes plaque in the arteries which can restrict blood flow to the brain. I know someone this happened to. Also, Her autoimmune diseases may be caused by the implants as well. I hope they at least try it. For her sake.

The documentary said it's "alcohol induced dementia." Don't drink to lessen the chances.

She is an alcoholic, which could have contributed to her dementia. A year or two ago she was passed out in a Louis Vitton store next to a glass of champagne. I haven't seen the documentary but it seems that her alcoholism is the elephant in the room which no one around her wants to address.

She also has graves disease which is hard to live with, I have it too and some times feel crazy give her a break.

Same. I have graves and it's really affected my life as I age it's just so much worse. Peri and graves is a nightmare.

The breakfast club interview was tough. Wendy was not in the studio; she called in with her niece, who helped her answer questions. The saddest part to me was her saying she wants to go to Miami to be with her father for his 94th bday but the conservator is not allowing it. Also, her conservator got rid of her cats without her even knowing.

The Wendy Reddit has a good breakdown of the highlights.
