That’s a 5% ED admit rate so your numbers are way, way off.

I was on the zoom call with the other admitted students. Will have to assume you were not...

A lot of people dislike Chicago. I would never live there and yes, I have been several times. I feel that way about other cities too. Doesn't everyone?

Not close enough to mountains or ocean for me.

No, I was not, because then I would have heard correctly. Logic is your friend. Perhaps the Core will enhance your critical thinking skills.

I liked the one with the coffee atoms and the coffee stain on the card, and the huge folded map one. Chicago does have good marketing, but not sure if it pays to do such mass mailings. Maybe it does!

Yes! It is bonkers. DS (who is in no way qualified for UChicago and is also graduating this year) have been bombarded. He told me he was just invited to an event yesterday about "black excellence."

I like the mailer with the cats.

They do that. We got one about data science and economics and one about public policy? It was last year so I don't have the exact titles

They send mail and market to kids who will never be accepted and then Chicago can say, “We have a low acceptance rate!”

Trash school.

Beware that there is an anti-UChicago troll in our midst. Who knows the reason she loathes the school, but here she is.

20000 ED applicants seems really high?
Anyway this means there are 800-ish spots left for RD admits. With a ton of spammed kids applying.

My dd got that one too and I have to wonder why. She's a senior so all her applications are in and she didn't even apply to UChicago. They must have made a mistake?

Two years ago there were 35K applicants total, so this does seem unlikely.

I like the poster. That one's going on the wall.

Her mom is from Chicago, but she's not going there for uni.

And then it all stopped. It is what it is.

Interesting. None from UNC and Northeastern. But yes on Wash U. I wonder what they look for?
