We have been with three different pediatrician practices due to moves and none recommended tamiflu. |
| One of my kids tried Tamiflu once and it was worse than the actual flu. It made them throw up repeatedly. We've never tried it again for any of the kids. One kid had the flu (we think-didn't test them) this year and was down with a fever for 2 days then back to normal. |
A few years back my kid and I got the flu shot at the same time. He got the flu (pediatrician's first case of the year) and even though he was coughing and breathing all over me, I did not. I don't know if I had immunity from a similar strain years before. Anyway, he did take Tamiflu and recovered quickly. He gave the flu to his father who hadn't been vaccinated and who also took Tamiflu. |
My kid’s experience w tamiflu as well. So sick, so much vomiting. Never again. |
This! I got tamilfu prescribed for my kid because I thought that was what a good mom did. He spent hours sitting by the toilet with nausea after the first does. I didn't realize it was the drug until the second day when it happened again. Truly awful to watch the poor kid get sicker on the drug. Never again for a healthy fit young teen!! |
