This. We were not able to skip the question. Only way to complete the application via CommonApp was to select a secondary campus.

Yes. DC listed some random campus just to get the application completed. The one chosen wasn’t even the one to which admission was offered.

Well if he didn’t pick a campus with engineering, they couldn’t offer him that one.

OP here: Thank you for this advice! We figured he had nothing to lose by doing this, so he contacted the admissions office and asked to be reconsidered as a DUS major. Yesterday he got the notice that he was accepted to University Park for Fall 2024! He’s so happy.
