Celebrating Acceptances

we got a sign in our yard and a small gift package. I thought it was nice, especially the T-shirt for our kid who had worked hard on the application. but we took down the lawn sign

Is this a Baltimore school? DMV Catholic? Congratulations to your family!

We’re introverts, and we’re messy. Give us a solid 24-48 hour notice. Even if you’re Mom, especially if you’re someone from a potential new school we might want to impress.

They don't come into your home. And I doubt they even knock on the door (maybe ring the bell and leave on porch).

+1. No one is going to show up at your house unannounced and expect to be invited in to hang out with you.

Schools send swag packages before you accept?

What if a kid is accepted to a couple of schools, don’t most schools know that students likely apply to more than 3 schools?
Wouldn’t it be awkward to deliver a swag package and see balloons from another school?

We received packages from both of the schools my son was accepted to. They were mailed and arrived on acceptance day, so neither school saw the other package. Both were very cute and it made the day fun.
