Simple reason for that: Nobody's reporting that many crimes being committed by whites because there aren't as many crimes being committed by whites.

Why should a group like DCJL have so much control over the Council? Writing legislation and the talking points? Why shouldn't they be required to be more transparent about their funders?

For all we know, given the outcomes and their calls for MORE of the same policies, their funders could include eugenicists. I for one am NOT fine with the deaths.

The people who should be leading that change are the black community. You think these teenage carjackers care what some liberal white transplant lady to DC from Illinois has to say? That's the LAST person they are going to listen to or care what they have to say. DC has already been black-run for decades, so what's going to change? DC has already been dumping millions into dozens of programs to help poor black people and to supposedly reduce crime. The blacks who figured out how to get themselves out of poverty have moved out of the city and want nothing to do with those kids. So how is it then somehow the responsibility of everyone else if the people who are actually closest to the issue aren't dealing with it?

Do better. For example, "Violence Interrupters" as one of the grand ideas of the Racial Equity advocates - it's NOT WORKING. The people who wrote that report need to pull their heads out of their rear ends.

The Council only pays attention to a racial equity analysis when it wishes to. It ignored the racial equity analysis of the pro-developer comprehensive plan amendments, for example.

Because some of the folks demanding these types of racial equity analyses don't care about Black people at all. They care about increasing their own power and reach, and anti racism is how they do it. They can say and do anything they want in the name of anti racism. And those who oppose are per se racist.
