Yep. And it was written with the express intent of undercutting the crime bill currently under consideration. This whole issue about no pre-trial detention! Violent people who threaten or harm other people with weapons need to be detained away from the rest of us.

Most crime victims in DC are poor POC. For the activist machine to throw all of them (so many killed and shot in DC in 2023, including a tragic number of kids) under the bus in the twisted name of "equity" so they can continue to rake in dark money funds from DC Justice Lab and others is shockingly and sickeningly racist. Just how many dead black people will be enough for them to admit that the status quo amounts to eugenics?

According to the logic in the report, the prevalence of BIPOC criminals is due to over policing and unequal enforcement. Since the District is 70% White, the report implies there is at least double the crime in the District since the crimes committed by White criminals must go unreported or unenforced. After all, the BIPOC and Whites must be committing crimes at the same rates.

It helps if you completely ignore class differences to understand the above. But hey, I am no sociologist.
