Congratulations. On their website and there will be video meetings. Basically review and rank the programs and hopefully you'll end up in one you want.

Not a big deal. They have to pick a track. They change the tracks every 2 years or something. This year's track 2024 is new.

My DC is going to drop out of honors; they think it's a waste of time because they are going to double major, and the extra honors classes will slow them down.

But they got great housing freshman year.

Did they also receive an email telling them to check the portal? DD saying she hasn't received an email yet and doesn't want to/isn't ready to check the portal!

Congrats. What were stats? They changed the number of slots for CS limited enrollment program so would be good to hear stats of students that got into it.

In state, public HS. 4.0 UW, 10+AP, ok EC

Thanks! Does that mean HC has nothing to do with merit offer?

For parents of newly accepted Terps, I recommend joining the University of Maryland Class of 2028 - Parents group on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/share/wpRRvLQyrZe4QnGD/?mibextid=K35XfP It was extremely helpful to me last year.

UMD has a number of LLPs. Honors (6-7 programs within), FIRE. Carillon etc. All on their website.

Freshman Connection students are invited to register for fall classes but they take them in the late afternoon/evening. They can start on campus at the same time. OR they can take community college courses in the fall. OR they can work. The families who have kids in Freshman Connection have had great things to say about it.

For other schools if you are accepted for Spring term, the data is not a part of the common data set.
The same way if you are wait listed it does not go in.
