| No. I have tried with one of the moms, but she always seems frazzled. She did agree to meet on two occasions (once for coffee, and once for a cocktail) when I initiated, and we had a fine time, but she never reached out to ask me to meet, so I let it go. |

Were you looking for a friend? On occasion (like 1x a year) I meet with the mothers of my daughter’s BFF - but we’re not looking for friendship with each other. It’s just to touch base and connect over our kids. |

Friendly, but not friends, of the ones I have met. There are a couple of parents I have never met. When parents come to pick up their kids, I will always meet them at the door, and invite them in. If they come in, we mostly just sit and chat while the kids get their stuff together. It's a nice, low key way to get to know people, and se their minds at ease that we aren't axe murderers or anything.
Once the kids start driving themselves, this will change of course. But we're not there yet. |
