| I'm assuming there are other significant factors in home choice and the schools are comparable enough I would not base a decision on that. If you want to weigh it, sure. But it's 2 years. I went to a horrible middle school and did fine in high school when we moved. |
You’re now responding to a post from January 2024. The OP has likely made a decision by now. |
| isn't LJ the majority immigrant schools with over half in poverty (probably undocumented) with lots of crime and 33% english learners? Frost is entirely different, with 14% of low-income, majority 92% English speakers. |
What do you mean "the majority immigrant school"? They don't track immigration status, and Jackson is far from the only MS in FCPS with a lot of low-income kids. |
I think they are pretty close to indistinguishable but 99% of frost feeds into Woodson and I think Luther Jackson gets spilt up If it was me, then all other things being equal, I would choose frost. |
Frost's base boundaries are the same as Woodson's but it gets some AAP kids from the Annandale pyramid. Jackson's base boundaries feed entirely to Falls Church but it gets some AAP kids from the Oakton and Madison pyramids. |
