We had at least 4 passes with a city snow play on our minor residential street between about 7PM and 6 AM.
The roads are totally fine by my experience. |
| I live on a main street - New Hampshire Avenue NE (DC), coming in from MD. Roads were plowed and great. |
BLM Plaza was broom-clean. |
You are WRONG. Fairfax and Arlington treated the roads. |
| Streets in Upper NW are fine and have been since before sunrise. |
| I'm all about criticizing the mayor, but this isn't one of the problem areas. Some of you really need a mode between 0 and full bore attack. |
| Y'all have never seen snow before? |
| I saw on a local Facebook group a post by a woman whose husband works for our county and she said the reason the roads were untreated was because it was a holiday. At least in our county, only a skeleton crew was scheduled for work and any others brought in for snow treatment/removal would be paid holiday pay. Since there was no school Monday and they canceled it early for Tuesday, there was no emergent need to pay extra to get crews out. Pretty interesting, if true. And it would make sense if it was the same in other localities since I saw so many social media posts about cars in ditches all over the DMV. |
We were talking about the commute home last night. Try to keep up. Yes, the roads were fine today. |
Ours were fine last night. |
| Im not a Bowser fan, but the roads were fine. |
"last night" being the 15th, which was a holiday. Not many commuters. |
On president’s day we’ll turn of the power and sewer system to your house since it’s a holiday. |
