AND comfortable with your husband's other relationships. |
| Her husband is not very attractive - Why do ugly married men somehow find women to have sex with them?? |
She’s not that attractive either. Or at least, not as attractive as she’d have you believe these men thought she was. I’ll have to check out her creepy husband. |
I looked them up on google images. Very average looking. I feel bad for the kids, having their parents open marriage be a public spectacle. |
One of her lovers Karl also seems unattractive. A large hairy man with a foot fetish. |
Yes, so not the best of marriages to begin with. You are not in love with your wife and this is just a parenting partnership without the expense of a divorce, the trauma to children, the headache of custody, the drain of child support and alimony and the juggling of a single life. |
I thought the NYT article said she didn't work. She was a former teacher turned SAHM. So lots of free time as a bored housewife (husband's $$ job meant outsourcing all the basics). |
Now that’s a new spin on stay at home wife life. |
|
At some point? She also mentioned co-working space and writing. Frankly I assumed she didn’t actually work despite what she said. |
Same! I got the impression she embellished her writing “career” by renting a space to write. But didn’t she go on a “work trip” and the one boyfriend whose wife worked for Hyatt joined her? |
|
I read the book, she wasn't working at the start of the book but then got a job as part of her quest to find herself meaning. Definitely seemed more flexible than my job ha ha.

| PP here - my job has time for DCUM, not for sex with randos. |
