| Anonymous - how did you get a phone number for a plumbing supervisor? And would you share it? I just had a similar oversell last week and am trying to contact Furr to talk to them about not getting a receipt, a warranty or anything. |
| Several firms sell review bots that inflate quality and quantity of reviews. |
| We have had nothing but bad experiences and it has just been a nightmare with FH Furr. The reviews are real believe me. |
| FH Furr and Michael & Sons are both a hard pass. |

We replaced both out AC unit and furnace via FH Furr's Costco program. The Costco kickbacks made it really desirable. The sales guy was ok.
That being said, we've had their annual member service and our experience with that those inspections have been RIDICULOUS. 6 months after the install they were trying to upsell us on stuff. A plumbing inspection was also included and we actually had a couple of issues that we wanted addressed (running toilet, a bust exterior pipe, water too hot in shower) and they didn't address any of that and gave us a $400 estimate for changing out washer hoses (which I could easily do myself). |

This sounds like the pest company that quoted me $1500 to set up a cage in the attic to trap a squirrel that was not there.
And like another pest company that told me we had termites and tried to scare us into a $2000 service. Those were carpenter ants and he thought I didn't know the difference. We didn't even call him. He was servicing (fleecing) our neighbors home and tried to scare us. |
| Fhfurr is such a rip off. They spammed me for two months straight trying to get someone to come out and do annual maintenance. I told him to stop calling and they wouldn’t. This is after I realized they showed me pictures of a unit that wasn’t mine to show I needed mold remediation. I saw the pictures posted on another website and couldn’t believe it. But of course they didn’t send me the pictures of my unit so I can’t prove it to them. |

Michael & Sons used to -and perhaps still have- some sort of gym complex that hosted several youth basketball games. The facility was absolutely a filthy wreck - trash in the parking lot, dirty bathrooms, more trash in the facility with sticky floors and overflowing trash cans. DH and I remarked that for a service provider, Michael and Sons sure didn’t seem to have be able to maintain their own facility very well at all. At this point, DH and I had seen it all as far as basketball venues with 2DC playing.

| I likewise had a terrible experience with FHF when they came out. They kept trying to get me to replace my toilets when all I needed was internal parts and repairs and they didn’t have the parts and they couldn’t make the repairs. They talked me into putting an electronic filter into my furnace I’ve had nothing but problems with it. It doesn’t fit, never bothered to ask any other appliances subsequently my gas fireplace was leaking gas into my house when I tried to call the truck nobody answered so I watched a video on YouTube so I could turn it off now I have to go and pay somebody $200 to turn it on again I canceled my customer subscription. The offsite remote receptionist really do not work. |
| Ditto on the upsell experience. I think their business plan is to buy up smaller companies who had excellent service and treated their customers well. This is what lured us. We expected the same treatment and courtesy of being a loyal, faithful customer. |
Which company was the one that was bought up by Furr? |
| Worst company I’ve ever dealt with, hands down. I didn’t experience any upselling but their installation of an appliance left us in a very dangerous situation. Never, ever use them. |
In July, 2022, Furr was acquired by Acquired by Apex Service Partners, "a portfolio company" of Alpine Investors, a private equity firm. |
| Michael and Sons is terrible. All nicey nice until you pay then unreachable when inevitable problems with work show up. |
| Any experience with ARS? |
