I don’t do cardio in them, I weightlift. It can still get hot but I don’t mind sweating at the gym.

I mostly just weight lift and don’t sweat much. Leggings is what I find most comfortable. On the top I always have a tank as I find any sleeves constructing, sometimes with a partly open back to show off my muscle.

For workouts indoors, high waist compression leggings because I like the support. muscle tanks or performance fabric tees.

Same. And I don’t buy my leggings from Lululemon anymore. I get the dupes on Amazon and I love them.

I wear leggings and a breathable tee most days. If I'm doing yoga, I need something more fitted so I don't end up with a shirt in my face (hate that!).

I was doing a cardio dance class recently and got hot. I had a long sports bra under my tee, so I took off my tee. I don't think anyone noticed.

I'm not skinny - 5'6"/145 - but I don't think anyone cares what I'm wearing and I don't care what they're wearing. Just wear what's comfortable!

I remember wearing new leggings without checking to see if they were thick enough. I don’t wear underwear with leggings because it bothers me when I work out. Well, I was stretching with my butt in the air from a downward dog, and the guys in my gym only told me after class that they could see my ass the whole time. Haha

I layer. In summer, sports bra, yoga shorts, linen boxy top until I warm up. In winter, sports bra, leggings, fitted long sleeve top until I warm up. I do yoga/pilates/barre, free weights and treadmill.

OP here. It’s true. The leggings were Under Armour. I will never buy leggings from there again.

I am no prude, but I do think the gym is for getting down to business and good hygiene and public health practices should be observed. It used to be that you had to cover your shoulders and stomach in the gym. Now, apparently, you can workout in your bikini. I don't know about you, but I don't want to sit on a bench after a woman in booty shorts has been on it, no matter if she sprayed it or not. That's nasty af.

How is that any different than a huge man sweating through his baggy clothing on that same bench?

What?! You buy moisture wicking leggings! I hate shorts and wear leggings for HIIT, cardio, tennis, yoga, pilates, you name it.

I am actually curious why I am one of the few in shorts, at least at Orange Theory. Don't you people in leggings get hot?

Soccer shorts and a tank top or t-shirt. UnderArmour has some good lightweight tees.

I’m 38. I wear baggy sweatpants + sports bra, or leggings/bike shorts + baggy tee or a long like bra with loose shorts. My main rule is I never do loose/loose or tight/tight so I wouldn’t pair the baggy tee with the sweatpants or a sports bra with leggings . I do like to have fun with my workout clothing because I think you feel better and are more motivated to go when you look good.
