| I completely slept through it in Gaithersburg. |
| I have insomnia and wake up several times a night and I slept right through it! |
| I didn't but our cat was up half the night and agitated so it makes more sense now. |

A 1.7 earthquake struck Queens this morning around 5:45.
I'm no expert but you can't tell me it's just a coincidence that all these earthquakes are happening within 24-48 hours. They are all related somehow. The Earth is such a mysterious place. |
| Didn't feel it in Potomac. |
| Wildfires, earthquakes…when will they admit it’s just world war 3? |
| I woke up to my cat growling and then heard a rumbling sound and the windows shaking in Silver Spring. I thought it was a low-flying jet until I read the news. |
Huh? This isn't a mystery. There's known research that once there is a big earthquake somewhere, it will be followed by earthquakes in other places - something about the plates of the earth shifting, creating pressure, and that pressure is released someplace else sometimes on the other side of the world. In fact the 2011 earthquake in DC was preceded by a significant earthquake in Japan though those quakes weren't days apart - I think it was months. |
| Didn't feel it or hear it in Potomac. All three of us slept right through it. |
Thank you for the link. So the epicenter was Lakewood Country Club! I live right around the corner. I slept through it. |

Felt in it in Alexandria!!!
LA, DC, NYC, Tokyo all the same day it's worrisome. |
There’s probably tens of thousands of earthquakes that magnitude (low 2’s) every year all around the planet. Meh. |
