First trip to Mexico, what’s your family’s favorite area?

I love cabo, but honestly, I don’t think Mexico is that safe anymore.

Downside: no direct flights, no Mayan ruins.

Which resort did you stay at, and how was the food there?

One and only is great with kids. No beach though. Only pools. Food is amazing but very expensive.

There's always this person.... Cabo is perfectly safe and I feel safer there than in many US cities (and was just there in August). Cancun? Eh, not so much and I probably won't return there, but with any travel you have to be aware of your surroundings.

Cancun visitor here and I have felt perfectly safe. I stick to the resort and things planned through the resort though, so not particularly adventurous but you can’t beat a direct flight, good food, and well-priced accommodations imo.

We stayed at the Sunset Beach Pueblo Bonita. We booked through a timeshare owner on Airbnb but I think you can book directly too. Upside was that food was great. Downside is that it’s built on a hill and there is a lot of walking up and down (and I like walking but even got tired). There are golf carts that can take up up and down but very long waits.

We booked most of our tours through Cabo Adventure. They were pretty good but some waiting around (they are a big operation). Also did a turtle release on Viator. And a food tour through Yummy Cabo.
