The point is to pad College Board's coffers. It's ridiculous for CB to even offer this class. It's all about $$$$ in an era of dwindling SAT revenue. |
| The whole point of it is for college board to make more money. Most colleges will not accept AP Precalc as college credit no matter the score. College board just wants the extra money. But if you want your child to take the test so be it. AP tests in MCPS are free now as long as you are taking the class. |
| OP reporting back. It appears that our school has replaced honors pre-calc with AP pre-calc. So there is only a choice between regular and AP. |
