Do you still check on your kids at night?

Do you still do this? If you used to and it stopped how old were your kids when it stopped?

Truthfully it’s one of my favorite parts of my day. Kids are peacefully sleeping and I get to just soak in how much I love them and how cute they are.

Yep, I'll do it until they move out. They are 8 and 15. The 15 yo will often still be awake and I will just give a kiss, say goodnight, and I love you.

I'm in bed before my kids. I drag myself out to say goodnight.

Yes, my four are 10 and under and I always check on them. They can be terrors when awake but angels when asleep.

Mine is 11. I stick my head in the door before I go to bed.

I don't think I ever really checked on my kids at night past the age of three. And then it was only because they transitioned to larger beds and I wanted to make sure they were still in them and not sleeping on the floor.

Sometimes, just when I have the urge to give my 8 year old one last look or kiss. She sleeps like a log, so no chance of waking her up.

I used to when she was asleep before me.
Now she’s 11 we go to sleep around the same time so no.

8 and 3 year olds still have monitors in their room. I check the monitors at night.

I have 12 yo twins. I checked daily until sometime around ages 9-10. I still check on them about every 2-3 days. I work an evening job on Thursdays and I get home late, after they're in bed. I always check on them Thursday when I come home from work. I usually head up to change into night clothes and stop in and check on them and kiss them on the forehead as I go by. Most of the time they don't wake, but once every few weeks, the morning bird will half-wake up and say "I love you, Papa" before falling back asleep. My night owl sleeps like a log. He's fallen out of his bed and not woken up.

10 yo DS. Every night. I love looking at his peaceful face. I give him a kiss. Fix his blankets. I will do it as long as he lets me.
