| How about they just eat the sides and forego the turkey if they are that spoiled? |
| Also why buy an entire ham for 2 people? You only need a ham steak. |
Last year they didn't have my parent's large ham so there were forced to take 2 small hams. They had a reserved ham, but at the store, no ham that size left. They don't set them aside, you get what you get, apparently. |
All I can think about is that lady who had a ham misdelivered to their house a few years ago, and didn't know what to do with it. |
| My mother always talks about one of her first thanksgiving with her in-laws where they served ham because my grandfather said "you can have turkey any day". That said, my SIL and BIL always make a turkey and prime rib. I much prefer the prime rib. |
That's because a whole roasted turkey is terrible. Yes, even yours, whomever is going to respond they theirs is fantastic. Even yours. |
I would go for a mini, boneless ham. I think one year I got a mini boneless spiral ham. I paid more per pound but it was really easy to cook and looked nice. |
That's bizarre. You CAN'T have turkey any day, unless you're talking deli meat. |
What is terrible about turkey? Do you dislike chicken as well? |
Exactly! My mother was scared for life by that Thanksgiving🤣 |
I love chicken. Turkey is crap. It's the weak link - by far - of Thanksgiving dinner. |
Why can't you make turkey any time of the year? There may not be big piles of it sitting in coolers in the grocery store, but you can certainly find a whole turkey if you want one. Which brings up another point - no one does. The surest sign that very few people really love turkey is that no one makes it any time other than Thanksgiving. |
My mother sweats that only fresh turkey tastes good and you can only find fresh/not previously frozen ones at thanksgiving. I prefer a roasted chicken over turkey. |
| We do turkey and ham for our Thanksgiving dinner and get our ham from honeybaked ham. |
You can have a turkey any day just like you can have ham any day. Turkey isn’t just sold around the holidays. They sell turkey year-round. I’m a little bit confused by your post. |
