OP,

You did not answer this in the other thread. It's the most important question of all. Without that piece, nothing will work. The child risks deportation and never being allowed to step foot in the US ever again.

The US has let over a million people, mostly military aged young men NOT from our neighboring countries and many from hostile countries an ocean away cross into our country illegally, with no visa and none of the documents citizens must present if they are flying into the country.

Most of these people were just released into the country.

Based on this it is laughable to think the the govt is going to care about some kid cheating on their visa or overstaying their visa to go to school in a sanctuary county like Fairfax County.

Over 10 million people since 2021.

Cite for this? That would mean 3% of the US population lives here illegally— and has entered in the last 2 years. I might believe 10 M total. I don’t believe 10M in that 2 years, mostLy “military aged males”.

You don't have to be here legally in order to register and attend FCPS. We have a large percentage of illegals in FCPS, and we are not allowed to ask their immigration status. Bring anyone to receive free education.

The term is “undocumented,” not “illegals.”

If you sell your neighbor your child’s old bike for 30 bucks cash money that’s an undocumented transaction.
If you sell your neighbor cocaine the transaction is illegal, and also undocumented.

Could I enroll my cousin using my address if she comes and lives with us?

Well, you can always adopt her in her home country if she is under 16 and bring her to the US. Then as far as the US is concerned you will be her parent. She can become a citizen.

They can stay maybe but they can't register for school here unless they have a legal guardian living here (legally or otherwise).

So if a parent lives in FC and zoned for school A, but they prefer school B-shouldn't they be able to register their kid for school B and the district is not allowed to ask where they live?
