You don't have to be here legally in order to register and attend FCPS. We have a large percentage of illegals in FCPS, and we are not allowed to ask their immigration status. Bring anyone to receive free education. |

Well, you can always adopt her in her home country if she is under 16 and bring her to the US. Then as far as the US is concerned you will be her parent. She can become a citizen. |
They can stay maybe but they can't register for school here unless they have a legal guardian living here (legally or otherwise). |
So if a parent lives in FC and zoned for school A, but they prefer school B-shouldn't they be able to register their kid for school B and the district is not allowed to ask where they live? |
