This Halloween feels very quiet right?

No they do both.

Totally. Definitely keeping my kids from trick or treating this year because of events going on halfway around the world.

Seriously. Good lord people.

It’s a school night, it’s cold, Gaza/Palestine, and Halloween generally on the decline at least as far as “public” holiday. Many celebrations over the weekend though.

What? You think world events are keeping people inside? if 9/11 and COVID didn't keep the beggars away, a crisis an ocean away isn't. We are Americans and tend to compartmentalize.

Agree no one is staying away because of a crisis in the Mideast. It’s a colder than usual Tuesday night.

It isn't directly about what's going on in the ME but there is a lot of protesting, fear and tension going on here now. Plus there has been 2 mass shootings. I can understand people keeping their kids home.

My neighbors have become weird.

Fun. Night here in Rockville. 40 ish kids. Sounds like they are having a blast running around out there...No school tomorrow thankfully.

No most people do both trunk or treat/other event and Halloween trick or treat. But I do think people don’t stay out as long or go to as many houses these days because of the number of pre-Halloween events they’ve already attended.

A few hundred kids. 4 big bowls of candy. Are house is decked out though so we draw them in.

It got started later than I remember in last years…pretty quiet until 6:30ish. But now tons of kids, we are flying through candy.

We were outside for an hour and a half, in MoCo (no school tomorrow) and it was WAY quieter than usual.

More parent parties, fewer door to door, OP.

I'm not home due to a family emergency, and I intentionally turned off all the lights, even the ones that are normally on a timer. Therefore, my house is very dark. Despite that, my doorbell has rung no fewer than 25 times (I have a Ring doorbell in addition to multiple cameras). Apparently there are a lot of ToTers out in my neighborhood!

It NOVA it was probably our busiest year so far. I think more kids have moved to the neighborhood.

Business as usual over here. Lots of happy people and dogs. Over the top decor - every year it gets bigger and more interactive!
