Their marching band is the reason I am a nut about marching bands. Give yourself a treat and head over to youtube and watch them. My kid went to a competing school and I am so sad that because of covid I didn't get to see them play Ohio State. I don't like football but I would sit through a game to watch them. I've gone to inaugural parades just to see them.

I'm a Michigan grad and when they do Script Ohio, still get goosebumps. Ironically, the Michigan Marching Band invented it.

The two bands performed together during the 1932 game and played each other’s fight songs.

Ohio State’s script Ohio is a different formation, but Michigan did script Ohio first.

I was part of an International Affairs scholars program that helped me meet like-minded friends and made the huge campus more manageable.

The campus has great opportunities for undergrad research experience in the social sciences and natural sciences and a well regarded architecture school. It really is so much more than football and band, but those are also part of the charm!

It's a great school - my brother got an undergrad engineering degree from there and my sister went there for medical school. Both of them loved it, and everyone I know that lives in Columbus LOVES it. It's really been revived in the past 10 years.
