| I love rustic coffee shops that have board games and books and big comfy chairs where I feel welcome to linger. My college town had one (that got shut down when Starbucks came to town) and I can still smell the place in my mind. So cozy. |

I wandered into a Hallmark store yesterday. One of the salespeople hit on me, in a very nice way. If I opened a fantasy store, it would sell a feel-good vibe and have well-paid, charming salespeople to make you feel better about yourself. |
| Either a rock shop, an Italian deli/small grocery store that smells of garlic, salami, and large barrels of coffee beans, or a yuppie bakery with soup and sandwiches on good bread with pastries and coffee with unique Christmas ornaments and books and good looking customers. |
| A clothing store with really beautiful staples that won't sell anything without it being perfectly tailored. |
| An all-year Christmas store/fudge shop. |

Oh, you guys who love pretty home stores mixed with a coffee shop would love this place in Lewes DE: https://thestationlewes.com/
It’s also a really nice outdoor plant nursery. And their baked goods are exquisite. It’s really lovely. For those of you familiar with Lewes, it isn’t right downtown but it is walkable from there. |
My fantasy charming store would keep me safe from the customers, behind bullet-proof plexiglass:

| In my fantasies I have a yarn and needlepoint shop in cape Charles. But in reality it would never work financially. Not enough tourists . Not year round. Inventory is expensive etc. |
I would spend an afternoon cleaning and organizing your house, if you would provide the name of the store above. |
LOL. funny, but agree. Walk out feeling better about yourself! |
Oh man, this sounds fun! I miss record stores. |
Same. My used bookstore would serve coffee and pastries in the AM, and soups and sandwiches with thick. fresh, crusty bread for lunch. |
