don't like it, sorry. |
At first, i thought, "hmmmmm."
But by the time I got through all the responses and re-read the name a number of times, I am really digging it! But who cares what any of us think, OP! Do what you and your partner like! |
It's frequently not a family name. Perhaps for some, but how may of the dozens of Logans running around the playgrounds can possibly have mother's with that maiden name? ![]() |
2nd poster who thinks Fletcher is an EXCELLEnt name for a dog.
Probably a sporting breed, like a hound or German short-hair pointer. Who lives on an acreage near a creek, and whose human dad drives a 1982 Jeep. |
They'd likely object to the word "classy", since that's rather tacky in an of itself...but classic names like Thomas, Christopher, Andrew, William, Alexander, etc. Take a look at the Royal houses of Europe--how many Logans, Masons, etc, do you see there? None. They all have classic names appropriate to their language/culture, and they are all first names. (Denmark: Frederik, Henrik, England: Charles, Andrew, Wiliam; Netherlans: Willem-Alexander). |
Is your last name Christian too?
|
I rarely chime in when someone asks for opinions re names, but I must with this one: no, no, no, no, no. It just sounds awkward in almost every scenario I can think of. It's not cute-goofy like Oscar, or endearing like Flynn. It just sounds bad. I'm so sorry to be so critical!! |
NO. It sounds terrible. |
Ick. |
I can see an Old English Sheepdog being named Fletcher. For some reason the first thing that comes to my mind is how it sounds like 'flesh'. |
