“Allowed” does not mean best for you and your child. I NEVER give more than one vaccine in the same month. Not to babies or adults. |
| Even as an adult, I would never get a Covid vaccine and a flu vaccine at the same time. I am usually sick for about 48 hours with each one. Don't do this to her again OP. |
| My son said he couldn’t walk after the mmr shot in his thigh. He was fine soon after |
Why does your title say she can't walk? |
| Omg op. It hurts. She can walk but doesn’t want to. Stop it with the alarmist post. Are you an anti-vaxxer trying to stir up trouble? |
| It is normal to have soreness and pain in the area of vaccination for a few days. Put ice on it to control inflammation. |
| It took 2 days for my arm pain to subside after my booster shot. She needs to stretch the muscle. |
| So she CAN walk but doesn’t want to? My ped recommended doing both in DD’s non-dominant arm (a week apart) to avoid soreness bothering her at school. I think you did your best, but didn’t get that advice and now you have a 4 year old acting like a 4 year old. Give her Tylenol and ice it, keep her moving even if she complains, and it will pass. |
| That sounds like my husband after he gets any shot he can't use 1/2 his body. |
+1 So she CAN walk. Why did we have this thread again?! I agree Drama Mama and Drama 4yo. |

I would call the doctor or have her seen at urgent care.
I got my flu shot recently and had a large bruise and very sore arm for a few days and felt under the weather for 12 hours. |
What a waste if a call to a doctor. "I have completely normal and expected side effects. My arm is sore and I felt crummy for a day. Just wanted to let you know!" |
|
In really rare instances I think it’s possible for them to hit a nerve. If she’s screaming or sobbing in pain with each step I would call the doctor. If she’s just saying it hurts and doesn’t want to walk, I’d ice and give Tylenol.
I opened this thinking it was going to be 4 year old varicella. My oldest’s leg swelled up with that and it was several months before the swelling totally went away. She could only wear loose sweat pants for months. Varicella apparently has the most side effects. |
+1. Call your pediatrician or insurance advice line if you want, but a bruise is totally normal and doesn't need medical intervention. My DD got one in her arm when she jerked during the injection, and it was sore but passed on it's own. |
Dramatic just like mom! Seriously your title is misleading and hysterical. |
