Ugh, OP, I'm sorry. Some people have no sense of boundaries. And these days there is such easy online access to vets 24-7 on several platforms for folks that feel they need to talk to someone but don't necessarily need to rush off and spend $1k at the emergency vet.

I'm good friends with my pets' vet, and I would never text her late at night about my pets. In fact I would never text her about my pets at all. I will call her at work with questions -- but I pay for the clinic's loyalty program to have same-day phone access to a vet.

Oh, and I'm a lawyer -- wet tend to get late-ass calls from folks with no boundaries too. And it's never even an emergency, most recently it was a work acquaintance I don't even like wanting to get out of a lease. Sigh.
