This is hilarious, and you should definitely try to spin it into helping him learn to cook which is an important life skill. There’s also a conversation that could be had about being polite and respectful even when you don’t like something, but that conversation itself would need to be polite and respectful otherwise it’s just hypocritical. In any case, livid is just way too strong a word for this situation.

Hilarious. And I would definitely troll him one night. Make sure everyone but him is in on the joke and then serve something weird. Hardboiled eggs and baby carrots? Toast and slices of American cheese? A decorative plate of Cheese Its and Goldfish crackers?

OP here. DH and I are very private people, neither of us are on social media. The idea of something we thought was just between the five of us at home, going out to many boys in our son's grade just threw us for a loop. DH and I will talk about it tonight, but as of right now I'm inclined to say nothing after seeing everyone's responses here. The kids are sometimes crude about some of the meals, but ... eh. This is our middle child - the older one is not very social so this is all new territory for us.

After seeing this thread the first time a few months ago, I asked my kid if they are sharing the photos they take.

They said they are not. Thank goodness!
