That's hilarious. Full stop. Ask yourself: "Will this be a family anecdote in 10 years?" It totally will.
THAT SAID, if he wants to continue playing this game, he now has to prepare dinner one night a week. It can be frozen pizza, it can be heated up leftovers, it can be spaghetti, but he's in charge once a week. |
+2 He now gets to make the family dinner once/week. Have fun! |
If I knew the other parents in his social circle well, I might propose that they all get a once-a-week cooking assignment. A great chance for them to learn life skills while commiserating and sharing tips. |
I think it's cute and wouldn't be upset. My only real concern would be if the comments were skewing mean/negative. I'd probably just remind him not to make a comment he wouldn't want the person who made the food to read. |
This. |
Ask him to get recipes for the high rated dinners. |
I'd be annoyed! Guess who's cooking from now on? |
You know what they say about biting the hand that feeds you... |
Weird. I would make him cook. |
I’d have him start a tiktok. If he’s funny he’ll get a lot of followers |
If it's posted in a group chat, then I think it's hilarious. If it was posted on social media, I'd find it less funny. |
Same |
This is hilarious. But I don't think I could take it if I saw the posts. ![]() |
I've seen an Insta like this for a school cafeteria. TBH, I'd make him cook more often so he learns how hard it is. AND, get the recipes for the top rated meals. |
Hilarious. I would start plating dinner like he’s a little kid. Dinosaur chicken nuggets, also toddler dinnerware |
